Basic salary up to £19,950 per annum (depending on experience) plus a night shift allowance £18 per shift worked.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Breakdown Claims Advisor to join us at our stylish Head Office in Harrogate town centre.

Working as part of a vibrant and friendly team, the Breakdown Claims Advisor role is responsible for providing assistance to customers following a vehicle breakdown or road traffic accident.

Our Night Claims team work 37.5 hours over 4/5 shifts. This includes a combination of day and night shift work. Night shifts hours are 8.30pm- 6am, and the days shift hours vary.

The day shifts fall between the hours of 6am – 12am Monday to Sunday.

The working pattern/hours will be discussed in further detail at the interview, and the pattern that is agreed will be fixed for a 3 month period. Please note that additional night cover may be required occasionally.

The Role

You’ll be answering inbound calls from customers wishing to make a claim on their policy. You’ll be dealing with customers who are in a variety of different situations; ranging from vehicles that won’t start at a home address, through to roadside breakdowns or road traffic accidents.

You will offer verbal support and advice to customers regarding their breakdown or motor incident, and whilst doing this you’ll be delivering a market leading standard of customer care.

In addition to speaking to our customers, you’ll also liaise with our nationwide network of recovery agents, and colleagues from other departments within the business.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate is upbeat, enthusiastic and passionate about helping customers.

You will also be an effective communicator, who is empathetic, reassuring and understanding when speaking to customers on the telephone.

You should be an organised individual, who is able to work efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail.
