Basic salary up to £17,650 per annum plus generous uncapped bonus

We are a consumer focused insurance broker specialising in key personal lines insurance products – car, breakdown and pet. NCI Insurance also operates the RescueMyCar.com website, specialising in breakdown recovery and the 4Paws website, specialising in Pet Insurance.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Pet Sales and Renewals Advisorto join us at our stylish Head Office in Harrogatetown centre.

Working as part of a vibrant and friendly team, the Pet Sales and Renewals Advisorrole has responsibility for maximising profit, and providing a great standard of service to our customers.

Our Pet Sales team work 37.5 hours over 5 days; this may include 1 Saturday every 4th week 8.00am – 1.00pm, and a mixture of weekday shifts between the hours of 9am and 6:30pm.

The Role

  • To effectively sell Pet Insurance policies to clients, provide clients with competitive quotations and adopt strong verbal techniques in order to maximise renewal retention.
  • To provide an efficient and professional service to assist our clients by offering the highest levels of customer service, in line with the requirements of the business and the guidelines set by the Financial Conduct Authority.
  • To treat customers fairly and provide them with accurate information concerning pet insurance policies.
  • To work towards measured KPI’s linked to both new business sales and policy retention.
  • To provide ongoing support to the Pet team including handling customer service and finance related calls, along with handling administrative related tasks; whilst being able to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.

  • Can work efficiently both collaboratively and independently, whilst maintaining attention to detail at all times.
  • Can demonstrate effective verbal communication skills on a consistent basis.
  • Can build rapport with all customers and is able to tailor your approach to meet their specific needs and requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task and ensure daily tasks are completed.
  • To have a good understanding of the pet insurance marketplace, other providers and how our insurance products may compare to others; this is in order to maximise retention opportunities.
  • Good level of computer literacy would be advantageous.
